Built in 1942

This PT-13D has been delivered to the Army Flight School in 1942.

In the year 1949 it was sold by the US Government as military surplus to Trotter Iron and Metal Co., San Antonio Texasand same year to Zigler Flying Service in Lousiana, who equipped it with a PW R985 engine in 1951.

In 1959 sold to Wilson Aviation Industries in Idaho and on to Baxter Tri-B Salvage co. and in 1966 to Jack Colley (who passed it later on to John Colley) in Nezperce, Idaho..

It flew as agricultural airplane and ended its civilian career in the 1980's, when it was, together with our other Stearman airplanes, disassembed, preserved and finally put into storage, from where we recovered this airplane.
