Stearman 3g classic aviation Stearman

SN 75-32

Boeing Stearman Model: A75N1

Army Designation: PT-17

later converted to A75L300

Built in 1942

This airplane has been delivered to the Army Flight School in 1942.

In the year 1945 it was sold by the US Government as military surplus.

It flew as agricultural airplane and was later converted to an A75L300 version, powered by a 300hp engine.

When put out of operation it was disassembed, preserved and together with our other Stearman airplanes, put into storage, from where we recovered this airplane.

Now we are in the process of restoring this airplane to the specification of the future owner. It will be powered by a 300hp Jacobs engine with constant speed prop and the very efficient fuel injection system. This is not just an economical choice, but the ideal engine/airframe combination to fly from "hot and high" airfields in the mountains...
