In 1941 this airplane has been delivered to the Army Flight School "Mesa del Rey" in King City, California. The total costs to the Army were at that time $9.728.-

In 1942 it was assigned to the "Tex" Rankin Aeronautical School in Tulare, CA and in 1944 it was moved to an US Army Aviation School in Brady,Texas.

In the year 1945 it was sold by the US Government as military surplus for $750.- to Mr Reuben E. Olsen, Texas.

It flew as agricultural airplane in Texas and ended its civilian career in the 1980's, when it was disassembed, preserved and finally put into storage, from where we recovered this airplane together with our other Stearman projects.
